As Loops Administrator for a school, you can work as a teacher in the system but you are also responsible for setting for the whole school. You can choose:
- image for your school, visible for everyone in the navigation bar.
- to add an email for your school’s own support.
- language settings for emails from Loops.
- if the students should get an email every time a new loop is started.
- whether students should have access to the libraries
- whether students should be allowed to build their own loops.
- whether students should be allowed to start loops with other participants in your organization (students and teachers) where the student is the leader in the loop.
- whether students should be able to change their names.
- whether teacher should be allowed to add and remove students and colleagues
- whether teacher should be allowed to add and edit groups.
- whether teachers should be able to change student’s passwords.
You also have the possibility to shape your school’s library by:
- creating collections for the loops you want to highlight
- erasing loops that are published the wrong way
- publishing loops where you are only a collaborator
If you don’t have an SSO solution for your school, you can also choose to import all students (and teachers) at once, divided into the correct classes. You set passwords and then you hand out lists with usernames and passwords to the teachers responsible so they can start working with their students right away. Read more about how it’s done under the headline Import all students (and teachers) at your school at once.
