If you have chosen one node and filled it with content only to realize you should have chosen another one, you manage it manually. If you want to switch node type after filling your node with content, you mark all your content (except the headline) and copy it. Close the node and post the new node next to it. Write the headline and paste all the content in the new node. Save the new node and go back to erase the first one.
